Choosing a mobile service provider is made easier by the large number of mobile providers offer differing features, prices, and packages; Choosing a mobile service provider is made more difficult by the large number of mobile providers offering differing features, prices and packages. There are so many conflicting promises and services finding the perfect one is like finding a needle in the haystack. Suffice to say it’s probably there, but most people give up and go for the ‘nearest’ rather than ‘best’ fit.

International calls may or may not be a necessity in your life. Nonetheless, there will usually be a time when making an international mobile phone call is a desired feature on your favourite mobile phone service. Not all packages include international calling, but the majority of large mobile phone service providers offer an option or two where it is.

First and foremost, the majority of mobile phone service providers have different prices for calls you make from abroad and then for calls abroad from the UK. The difference can be significant depending on which service provider you choose.

For instance, Virgin Mobile charges you 65p per minute for calls to Ireland and 40p for receiving mobile calls from Ireland; 170p for calls to Asia and the Pacific and 80p for receiving calls from the same; 95p for calls to Australia and New Zealand and 60p to receive calls from the same; and finally, 140p for calls to the USA and Canada and 80p to receive calls from the same. Each country has a varying cost for calls sending and calls receiving according to which country or region the call originated and where the call is finally received.

Again, Virgin Mobile charges 35p for each text sent from all regions or countries; while receiving the text messages or picture messages is free from all. Accessing voicemail is the standard call rates depending on which region you are in; calling a 0789 number is roughly £2.

Another popular mobile phone service provider offering competitive rates for international calling is O2. O2 has 4 differing prices for each region of receiving and sending – one to match each of the major packages, Pay and Go Wild, Pay and Go Original, Pay and Go Talkalot, and O2 Online Pay and Go.

For instance, O2 charges you 99p for calls to the Ireland and 69p for receiving mobile calls from Ireland on all four packages; calls to Asia and the Pacific are not offered by O2; 99p for calls to Australia and New Zealand and 69p to receive calls from the same; and finally, 99p for calls to the USA and Canada and 69p to receive calls from the same. As is obvious, the popular regions are all relatively the same cost whichever package you choose.

Again, O2 charges 49p for each text message from all regions or countries; while receiving the text messages or picture messages is free from all regions or countries. Accessing voicemail is the standard call rates depending on which region you are in; calling a 789 number is roughly £1.49.

Orange offers a unique plan offering calls to 33 countries from 5p per minute. Whilst not as many regions are covered as other mobile phone service providers, calls to the USA and Canada is 5p per minute, Australia and New Zealand 6p per minutes, and varying locations in Asia range from 6p to 21p per minute. In lieu of a large calling area, Orange offers a more affordable rate to a select number of countries. Additionally, text messaging is only 15p. If you’re planning on making a large number of calls then this plan will likely save a lot of money.

Finally, a closer look is taken with the popular T-Mobile . Calls to and from Ireland cost 50p; calls to Australia and New Zealand are 75p and from the same is 70p; calls to and from the USA and Canada are only 55p. Additionally, sending text or picture messaging is merely 40p and 20p respectably, and receiving either is free.

Depending on where the consumer calls or receives calls from, varying mobile phone service providers offering a different set of rates. If you make a lot of international calls, investigating what different mobile phone service providers offer will insure you are getting more calls for your monies. Of course, there are many ways to get the best international mobile phone service for you, but the final choice will depend on where you call and how often you do the calling.
