Review by peter jameo - 22 January 2008 Easy connection and reasonable phone service, but a bit crackly sometimes. The internet service is VERY unreliable , and I have experienced major downtimes, paricularly at evenings and weekends during periods of heavy usage. When the internet can be down for hours- say from 3-30 pm (when the kids back from school?) until late in the evenings when people start going to bed . A great service it seems for those who work through the nights, or who can surf during the day; but not for the short tempered |
Review by peter reynolds - 21 November 2007 Maybe it's to do with your area, I have kept a l og of faults and general behaviour for 3 months and at best I would call the service sporadic on most days. On two days I also had phone faults. T_T not suitable for people with short tempers and needing a totally reliable business-like service. |
Review by John Smith - 20 November 2007 Bad and Very slow with constant disconnecting. Don't recommend it!!! |

Review by Harsh Kumar - 15 October 2007 good price plan but very bad with broadband. fact is they advertise that you have 40 Gig allowance but is is restricted they dont allow you to use it once you hit the 5Gig they put restrictions on download and upload. i am not happy because now it takes me ages to email and browse internet. my broadband is a narrow band now worse then a dial-up. |

Review by chris - 30 August 2007 TalkTalk.
It’s bordering on the criminal.
Seduced by ‘up to 8mb/s’ adverts.
Bought into TT from Onetel (same pathetic ompany)
Started at 512 kbs.
After 14 months and several emails to Charles Dunstone - got 1.2mbs.
Then every month since April 2007 it’s dropped from 1.2 mbs, to 980kbs, 860kbs, 756kbs, 512, kbs, 440 kbs and today 30th Aug 2007 I got 256 kbs which is half the speed I was on in 2005.
Complain to any Watchdog you can, leave TT and put up with 2 cans and a bit of string until you find a truthful company.
What a con |
Review by Matt Craig - 15 August 2007 phones good, broadband is terrible it only works when it wants to, checked all my firewalls but still not leting me in to some sites |
Review by Martyn Howell-Jones - 22 May 2007 We have 2 homes, both on Talk Talk, both with free broadband. The phones work well, but the broadband is a disaster. It works in the middle of the night, but the moment demand increases it is prone to disconnect and mid evening it no longer connects. Appauling ! What is free is really dear ! |
Review by Len Gill - 14 May 2007 an early adopter, apart from a long wait to initially connect (due to demand) have had no problems.
Works every time, all the time |
Review by Mrs Vaughan - 23 March 2007 Appalling service. Never actually got connected and cancelled service in nov but have continued to charge me for service! |
Review by david stephens - 14 March 2007 Absolutley appalling service. My sister has been without phone line and internet access for eight days and various calls to overseas call centres have got nowhere .I am leaving Talk Talk in protest. |
Review by Dave Hinchliffe - 10 February 2007 A saving of £30 a month was a big attraction and the longer than expected wait was understandable due to the demand but the service I have had has been outstanding. Most of the call centres I have visited have been in South Africa which means I can understand what they are saying |
Review by Angela McKee - 23 January 2007 Absolute sham of a company.....endless technical problems, terrible customer service..... |
Review by Victor Whitworth - 5 January 2007 TalkTalk,
I have had the TalkTalk phone and broadband package since last February.
Technically fine but I agree that customer service is poor. |
Review by Nick Matera - 31 December 2006 Since I switched over to Talk Talk I have had endless technical problems with my landline and broadband. The Customer Service is abysmal to say the least. Truly awful company. |
